CTI Script Analysis
How To Read and Analyze a Script
Monday May 3rd - Tuesday June 1st, 2010
One of the greatest challenges for Producers is how to evaluate and analyze scripts for their production potential, particularly plays and musicals at the very early stages of development.
This course will be led by a different producer/director/literary agent each week- particularly known for his/her dramaturgical acuity. The class will analyze each piece on a scene-by-scene basis with a focus on story clarity, emotional depth, relevance of characters, universal themes, and commercial appeal.
Participants should expect to prepare the assigned script for each week’s session and to actively participate in the class discussion.
This is a middle-level CTI course.
Preference will be given to those who have completed at least one other CTI program.
